 Some things I've been doing this month are:  
counting down to our family/ 5 year anniversary trip coming up! this picture is a little old, and it's getting closer all the time. Which also means it's almost fall!

 Working on some just for fun projects.. I finished the top of my first quilt, a patchwork in all different colors. I feel as if quilting might become one of my favorite things, and i'm excited to practice more and graduate to different shapes and patterns.

 I also started a new crochet blanket, and discovered i loove doing entrelac crochet. It's the kind where you can work on it while you watch a movie, and you don't have to think too much. Which I think is always nice.

We also celebrated Mike's birthday on the 21st. So happy birthday Mike! We went out for pizza pie, and then came home and ate apple pie. It was all about the pies.

Yesterday I turned 28!

I ate lots of desserts, got some nice treats from my family, went out to eat and watched two movies with Mike and Fig. June 5th is always a very good day.

redecorating and a party dress

this past week we've been painting our apartment, and are mostly done. yay!  

mike just put our shelves back up, and i'm now deciding what to put where. 

and i also got a few plants. here's my new little cactus,

next on my list is to decide what to put on the walls, to paint a couple pieces of furniture, and i'd love to make a new bedspread and a throw blanket for the couch. 

and..

here are a couple pictures of the dress i made for my birthday dinner. it's made of blue brocade and is very party-ish and shiny. and also very reflective and safe for when you are crossing a busy street in the dark on your way back to your car after dinner.

birthday

yesterday was my birthday and i am now 27!  mike and fig decorated with pink balloons and we went out to lunch at my favorite bakery. and got a cupcake and macarons. (of course)

we plan on going out to celebrate more this weekend because i was not feeling well at all yesterday, and my birthday dinner got postponed.. but sometimes when you are 27 you are just forced to be mature, and to do things like extend your birthday into a whole week which also gives time for more birthday treats and presents. and that's ok.

i got some sandals from my parents,and fabric from my sister, along with other nice things. including a plaid shirt in the mail from mike! he loves plaid shirts so much, of course i needed one so now we can be matchers. birthdays are the best.

mike turned 30 on saturday! we spent it going to a movie,and eating steak and an unattractive but delicious homemade ice cream cake off of twilight plates with jacob and edward's heads on them. mike's fave.

yesterday was my 25th birthday! it was very fun and special.

and we ate a lot.

i also got lots of nice presents sent to me, and mike blew up balloons and had them all over the living room, and fig was deathly afraid of them.

and i got to eat chocolate fondue for my birthday dessert!

birthday and graduation

Happy 23rd birthday to my sister Stacia!!

i am sad that we can't be together today, but i get to see her next week because me and the bunny are leaving kentucky and georgia for a trip home to mn together! it will be an in between both of our birthdays present/ friend's wedding/mothers day/fun.

And also congratulations to my brother Ryan the dalmation!! this week he is graduating from ecola bible college. my parents went out to oregon to be there. i am so proud of him!
