fall

it feels a little bit like fall around here..ok a tiny bit. at least when i'm inside i pretend it's all chilly and fally out and light candles and watch fall movies. today i watched the trouble with harry. it's a really pretty movie to watch, with all the colorful leaves. and shirley maclaine's cute pixie too.
i've also been decorating for the season. i made this crochet wreath i saw on good knits. it was really quick and simple, and i think it would be pretty in different colors for different seasons. i think i just might do that.

do you have any favorite fall or halloween movies to recommend? fall crafts?  i'd love to hear!

slippers

fall time means slipper time!
i made these from my own pattern, but there are some like them here with a tutorial.
last night i wore my slippers, and drank apple cider, and all was good and right.

and fall time also means finally being able to go to the park again! after the summer, fig pretty much doesnt know what outside is. but she likes it so far. maybe its being able to run full speed without slamming into the kitchen cupboards every time.

here they are cowering from me and trying to get away.

it was a really fun trip, and i will be back again with mike and fig for thanksgiving, so until then.
