mom's homemade granola recipe:
7 cups oats
1 cup coconut
1 cup wheat germ
1 1/2 cups sliced almonds
1 cup diced walnuts or pecans
1 cup sunflower seeds
1 cup pepitas or flax seeds
1/2 cup oil
1 cup (or more) pure maple syrup
1 tablespoon vanilla
craisins, or raisins, dates,etc. (added after baking)
preheat oven to 250. mix wet and dry ingredients. combine. pour onto 2 greased baking sheets. bake for 1 hour 30 minutes. stir every 15 minutes, and switch the 2 pans between the top and bottom baking racks.
cool on pans. sprinkle with craisins.
eat all up.

ReplyDeleteinstead of oil in the granola use pumpkin puree, and add a little pumpkin pie spice. YUM! autumn inspired granola :)
